Royals RBI Overview
Royals RBI is a recreational baseball and softball league that is a partnership between Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Kansas City and Royals Charities. Royals RBI is one of the Kanas City Royals Sports Development’s Crown Leagues. The teams in Royals RBI will compete against teams from other Crown Leagues at their game sites in the Kansas City metropolitan area.
Practice
Practices primarily will be held at Cleveland Park, the Kansas City Urban Youth Academy, and other Kansas City area fields. The target start date for practices is April 1.
Games Sites
Games will be played at Cleveland Park, the Kansas City Urban Youth Academy, and other Crown Leagues sites. The target start dates for games is May 1 for all age divisions with the exception of the baseball Buck O’Neil 16-18 division which will start the end of May.
Cost
The cost is $25 per player and includes a uniform.
Registration
Players sign up as a free agent and will then be assigned to a team. We do accept full teams, please contact Kary Kankey at kkankey@helpkckids.org if you are interested in bringing a full team into the league.
Volunteer Coaches
Our league is dependent upon volunteer coaches. All coaches must complete the Boys & Girls Clubs Volunteer Application Process, which can take up to three week, prior to coaching. Practice plans and some equipment can be provided for coaches. If you are interested in coaching a team as a head or assistant coach, please contact Kary Kankey at kkankey@helpkckids.org.
